(Oral) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that husband of the petitioner was working as Laboratory Technician Grade II in the respondentdepartment. He died in harness on 02.03.2009. Petitioner, thereafter, applied for appointment on compassionate grounds in view of death of her husband. The respondent-department informed the petitioner that the post of MPHW (Female) was under a Centrally Sponsored Scheme and was not regular in nature. She was, thus, offered the post of Sewadar, which she accepted and has been working for last more than 08 years. Her only grievance is that another widow namely Prabhjit Kaur (respondent No.4 herein) has recently i.e. on 08.02.2018 has been appointed as MPHW. I find no merit in the plea of the petitioner. The appointment of respondent No.4 against the post of MPHW (Female) does not give right to the petitioner to claim the same benefit on the plea that the petitioner possesses similar qualifications. Besides, she accepted the post of Sewadar

and has been working on the said post since 21.05.2010. In my considered view, the plea of the petitioner is totally misconceived. Petition is without any merit and is hereby dismissed.
