Mr.Arun Beniwal, D.A.G. Haryana assisted by Mr.Shiv Kumar, Assistant Consolidation Officer. JASWANT SINGH, J. (ORAL) Four (4) petitioners namely Mahender Singh, Jagibr, Suresh and Dharmender are residents of village Pantawas Khurd, Tehsil and District Charkhi Dadri.

It is stated that the consolidation proceedings in their village had been initiated in September 2016 and were completed on 30.3.2018. The villagers had pointed out certain irregularities during the consolidation proceedings leading to an inquiry conducted by the Sub Divisional Officer (Civil), Charkhi Dadri, on the directions of the Director Consolidation of Haryana. The said officer has submitted a report dated 17.7.2018 (Annexure P2), confirming the irregularities in the consolidation proceedings for the village.

The petitioners, by way of instant writ petition, are seeking a direction for carrying out the necessary corrections in the light of inquiry report dated 17.7.2018 (Annexure P2). Upon notice, the Director Consolidation-cum-Director of Land Records, Haryana - respondent No.2, for today, learned State counsel on instructions from Mr.Shiv Kumar, Assistant Consolidation Officer, states that necessary action on the inquiry report dated 17.7.2018 (Annexure P2), would be taken within four months from today. In the light of the stand of the respondents, counsel for the petitioner states that his clients would be satisfied if the necessary action in accordance with law is taken within a particular timeline as stated. In view of above the instant writ petition is disposed of with directions to the Director Consolidation-cum-Director of Land Records, Haryana - respondent No.2, to take appropriate action in view of the inquiry report dated 17.7.2018 (Annexure P2) in accordance with law,

within a period of eight months from today, failing which respondent No.2 shall be liable to be hauled up in the contempt proceedings. (JASWANT SINGH) JUDGE February 14, 2019.
