This order shall dispose of present petition for grant of anticipatory bail filed by the petitioner, an accused in case FIR No.206 dated 13.10.2024 under Sections 190,191(2),191(3),115(2),118(1),126(2),109 of BNS registered at P.S Sector 31, Chandigarh.

A short affidavit of Anurag Daru, ASP, SDPO, South West Division, Chandigarh filed on behalf of respondent-UT Chandigarh in Court today is taken on record. In para 9 of the report, the factum of petitioner having joined the investigation stands mentioned.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from SI Pawan Kumar, submits that the petitioner has since joined the investigation and he is not required for further custodial interrogation.

On 08.09.2025, following order was passed by this Court: " Present petition has been filed under Section 482 of BNSS for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No.206 dated 13.10.2024 under Sections 190, 191(2), 191(3), 115(2), 118(1), 126(2), 109 of BNS, registered at Police Station Sector-31, MANOJ KUMAR 2025.12.04 07:06 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order Chandigarh. Learned counsel for the petitioner has contended that

CRM-M-49899-2025 no specific role or injury has been attributed to the petitioner. The grievous injuries have been attributed to the co-accused. The other co-accused Vishal @ Bawa and Ravi have already been released on regular bail. Nothing is to be recovered from the petitioner. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready and willing to join the investigation. Notice of motion. Mr. Viren Sibal, APP, U.T., Chandigarh, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and seeks time to file status report. List on 02.12.2025. Meanwhile, the petitioner shall join the investigation and would come present as and when called for and in the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be released on interim bail on his furnishing personal and surety bonds to the satisfaction of Arresting/ Investigating Officer. The petitioner shall also abide by the conditions as specified under Section 482(2) BNSS. " 6.

Keeping in view the above submissions advanced by learned counsel for the petitioner as also the fact that the petitioner has joined the investigation, interim bail granted vide order dated 08.09.2025 is hereby confirmed, subject to conditions as envisaged under Section 482(2) BNSS. Further the petitioner is directed to join investigation as and when required in future by way of written notice for such purpose to be served by Investigating Officer of this case upon the petitioner; he will not tamper with the evidence nor will influence the witnesses and will not leave the country without prior permission of the Court. 7.

The petition stands allowed.
