Prayer in this petition, filed under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023 (earlier Section 438 Cr.P.C.), is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, who has been booked in a criminal case arising out of FIR No.0188 dated 22.10.2023, under Section 420 of IPC, at Police Station Sadar Tarn Taran,District Tarn Taran.

The case has been adjourned earlier on various occasions i.e. 30.09.2025, 11.11.2025 and 08.01.2026 at the request of learned counsel for the petitioner. Today, when the petition was taken up for its hearing in the first session of the day, no one had appeared and the case was passed over for the second session of the day i.e. post lunch. Even on second call, no one has put in appearance to represent the petitioner. It appears that the petitioner is not interested to pursue the instant petition.
