* * * * RITU BAHRI, A.C.J. (ORAL) This appeal is directed against the order dated 09.10.2023 passed by the learned Single Judge disposing of the writ petition filed by the petitioner (respondent No. 1 herein).

As per the impugned order dated 09.10.2023, respondent No. 1 participated in the selection process, but was not selected on account of low merit. However, the order of the learned Single Judge is being modified to the effect that for any subsequent selection process, the concerned authorities will be bound by the UGC Regulations of 2018. The respondent No. 1 has to be eligible on all counts and then participate.

The appeal accordingly stands disposed of.
