Petitioners are living together in live-in relationship against the wishes of private respondents and by way of this petition, have prayed for issuance of necessary writ in the nature of mandamus to direct the official respondents to protect their life and liberty, by invoking Article 21 of the constitution of India. 2.

Petitioner No.1 is unmarried. However, petitioner No.2 is stated to be married with Manjinder Kaur (respondent No.8) since 2017 with three children out of that wedlock. It is stated that petitioner No.2 has matrimonial dispute with his wife Manjinder Kaur. 3.

Although petitioners made a representation (Annexure P3) to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Ludhiana(R), Jagraon, Punjab to provide necessary protection, but ld. counsel for the petitioners could not convince this Court regarding any incident or specific date or the manner in which petitioners were threatened to their life and liberty by any of the private respondents.

It appears to this Court that this petition has been filed just to get the stamp of this Court to the immoral and illicit relationship of the petitioners. In these circumstances, this Court is not inclined to issue any writ as sought by the petitioners.
