(ORAL) The petitioner has preferred this writ petition for quashing of impugned orders (Annexures P-5 to P-7) passed by the authorities in hierarchy.

Vide order dated 25.05.2006, the petitioner was punished with stoppage of 5 future annual increments with permanent effect on account of his absence from duty for a period of 1 month 14 days 13 hours and 25 minutes without any leave/permission or information. Petitioner was found to be at fault in the departmental enquiry. The departmental enquiry was conducted after following due procedure. The order of punishment dated 25.05.2006 was unsuccessfully challenged by the petitioner in appeal before the Inspector General of POONAM BHATT 2023.01.12 16:57 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this Judicial Record/Decree/Document, which is scanned copy of the original

CWP No.497 of 2023 -2Police which was dismissed on 14.08.2006. Petitioner also remained unsuccessful in the revision petition filed before the Director General of Police, Haryana which was also dismissed on 07.10.2014 by observing that the petitioner had approached the authority after a delay of about 8 years. Even after passing of order dated 07.10.2014, the petitioner has ventured to file this writ petition after more than 8 years.

Writ petition suffers from delay and laches.

This writ petition stands dismissed.
