JUSTICE GURVINDER SINGH GILL Present:- Mr. Sumeet Puri, Advocate for the petitioner. ***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of direction for protection of her life and liberty as she apprehends threat to the same at the hands of respondents No.4 to 7.

Apparently there is some matrimonial discord between the petitioner and her husband, which led to lodging of FIR No.129 dated 20.12.2016 at Police Station Women Cell, District Patiala under Sections 498-A and 406 of Indian Penal Code at the instance of petitioner against her husband and other members of her in-law's family. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that petitioner's husband and other members of his family are now pressurizing her to withdraw the aforesaid FIR and have been harassing her and that she apprehends threat to her life and liberty.
