**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) Through this petition, the petitioner seeks issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent No.3-Superintendent District Jail, Bhondsi Gurugram, to temporary release the petitioner from jail on parole for a period of two weeks, enabling him to attend the marriage of his sister, namely, Tarannum, which is scheduled for 22.12.2022.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the year 2017, the petitioner was convicted for a period of seven years; that the appeal against said conviction is pending adjudication before the High Court; that the petitioner moved an application in the Month of November, 2022 for his release on parole, but the same was not accepted and that thereafter, on 05.12.2022, the mother of the petitioner moved another application through her relative for release of the petitioner on parole, but the same has not been decided till date. On the asking of this Court, Mr. Rupinder Singh Jhand, Additional AG Haryana, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State. He, on instructions from the concerned Investigating Officer, submits that the petitioner is involved in multiple cases and thus, does not deserve the concession of parole.

I have heard the learned counsel for the parties. Keeping in view the fact that marriage of the real sister of the petitioner is to be solemnized on 22.12.2022, the petitioner (through his mother) may move a fresh application, for his release on parole, if so advised on 16.12.2022. On receipt of the said application, respondent No.3-Superintendent, District jail Bhondsi, Gurugram, is directed to decided the same, at the earliest, as per law. Disposed of.
