Present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for directing respondent No.2 to protect the life and personal liberty of the petitioner and directing respondents No.3 and 4 not to harass the petitioner and for taking strict legal action against respondents No.5 to 9 for their illegal activities and further for issuing directions to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner from the hands of respondents No.5 to 9, who are roaming freely causing threat to the petitioner. It is further prayed to direct respondent No.2 to consider and decide the representation, dated 08.06.2024, Annexure P-8, filed by the petitioner, as per law in a time bound manner.

It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner is the eye-witness of the murder incident of Saint Mahender Giri MEENU 2024.10.28 17:22 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document at the Dera on 06.07.2020 and thus he is being threatened. It is further

CRWP-10425-2024 -2submitted that for redressal of his grievances, the petitioner has also filed a representation before respondent No.2, Annexure P-8, on 08.06.2024, however, no action has been taken on the same till date. 3.

Notice of motion to respondents No.1 to 4-State only. 4.

On asking of the Court, Mr.Tarun Aggarwal, Sr.DAG, Punjab. who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents/State. 5.

Without entering upon an exercise to evaluate the evidentiary value of the documents placed on the file, I dispose of the petition with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur, District Ferozepur, to look into the representation (Annexure P-8) of the petitioner and decide it expeditiously preferably within one month from today in accordance with law and grant him protection, if any threat to his life and liberty is perceived.
