The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to the respondents to grant dual family pension as per applicable notification issued by State Government.

The petitioner is widow of Dilawar Singh who at the first instance served Indian Army and thereafter Punjab Police. He passed away on 13.05.2011. The petitioner is claiming that she is entitled to dual family pension. 1st pension on account of service of her husband with Indian Army and 2nd on account of service with Punjab Police. 3.

Mr. Sharma submits that the petitioner has made various representations and as per notification dated 23.06.2016 issued by State Anju Goel 2024.10.25 09:44 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

With the consent of both the parties, the matter is taken up today itself for final disposal.

Learned State counsel submits that representation of the petitioner would be considered and an appropriate action would be taken within 06 months from today.

Learned counsel for the petitioner agrees to aforesaid arrangement.
