Through the instant writ petition, prayer is made for issuance of direction upon the respondent No.2 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.09.2024, wherein, request is made for taking action against the respondent No.4 for his negligence towards the medical treatment of petitioner's wife (since deceased). 2.

In deference to the directions issued by this Court on 15.01.2025, the learned State counsel has informed this Court that, in pursuance to the mandate and guidelines issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in "Jacob Mathew V. State of Punjab & Anr.", 2005 (3) RCR (Criminal) 836, the Government of Punjab has issued a notification, thereby prescribing the quorum of the District Level Boards, consisting of specialists/experts, to conduct inquiry in respect of medical negligence. In the instant case also, an Inquiry Committee under the chairmanship of District Health Officer, Pathankot, has been constituted to conduct inquiry DEVINDER YADAV 2025.01.23 09:38 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CWP-29807-2024 (O&M) in respect of alleged medical negligence and the matter is pending consideration.

At this stage, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, the petitioner has never been called by the Inquiry Committee. 4.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Inquiry Committee to give due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner before concluding its inquiry report. 5.
