The present contempt petition has been filed for deliberate and intentional disobedience of order dated 16.05.2025 passed by this Court in CWP-19562-2021, whereby the respondents were directed to conduct departmental inquiry in accordance with law.

In compliance of the order dated 16.05.2025 passed by this Court in CWP-19562-2021, reply by way of affidavit dated 13.12.2025 of Mr. Amneet Kondal, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Bathinda, along with speaking order dated 29.09.2025 (Annexure R-1), has been filed on behalf of respondents before the Registry. The same is taken on record. 3.

A perusal of paragraphs No.3 and 4 of the said reply shows that in compliance of order dated 16.05.2025 passed by this Court in CWPVIRENDRA SINGH ADHIKARI 2026.01.13 10:25 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

COCP-4588-2025 (O&M) -219562-2021, regular departmental inquiry was conducted against the petitioner and a speaking order dated 29.09.2025 has been passed by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Bathinda, which is attached with the reply as Annexure R-1.

In view of the above, since order dated 16.05.2025 passed by this Court in CWP-19562-2021, has been complied with, therefore, the present contempt is purged and rule stands discharged. 5.

Needless to say that the petitioner is at liberty to avail remedy as is available to him in accordance with law to challenge the speaking order dated 29.09.2025 passed by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Bathinda. 6.
