Apprehending threat to his life and liberty at the hands of the private respondents, the petitioner, invoking the fundamental right of life guaranteed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, has come up before this Court seeking protection through the State.

On the last date of hearing, this Court asked the State to get instructions. 3.

On instructions from Inspector Satvir Singh, counsel for the State submits that allegations made in the present petition are false and they have never harassed the petitioner, however a complaint was filed by respondent No.5, in which they had to investigate the matter and they had called the petitioner for inquiry.

Be that as it may, when the petitioner is called for inquiry, it is clarified that no third degree method shall be adopted by the police and he shall be dealt with in respectful manner.
