The instant petition has been filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.07 dated 04.07.2018 registered under Section 498-A IPC at Police Station Women Cell, District Mohali.

By an order dated 30.01.2019, this Court had granted interim bail to the petitioner and directed him to join investigation. On 11.04.2019, parties were directed to appear before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court on 01.05.2019. The mediation and conciliation proceedings were successful and the matter stands compromised between the parties.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent-State on instructions from the investigating officer submits that petitioner has joined investigation.

In view of the fact that the petitioner has joined investigation and a compromise has arrived at between the parties, the instant petition is allowed and the order dated 30.01.2019 granting interim bail to the petitioner is made absolute, subject to the conditions laid down in Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C.
