The instant petition has been filed seeking issuance of directions to learned Additional District Judge, Chandigarh to decide the stay application during the pendency of objection petition filed by the petitioner under Section 34 of Arbitration and Conciliation Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that although a petition under Section 34 of Arbitration and Conciliation Act against award dated 3.8.2017 was filed in the year 2017 itself alongwith an application for stay of the said award, but till date the said application has not been decided, whereas the Executing Court is now proceeding to attach the property of the petitioner. Having regard to the nature of relief sought in the instant petition, the same is disposed of with a direction to the Presiding Officer concerned to consider and dispose of the stay application expeditiously preferably within a period of one month from today. Till the disposal of such application, no coercive steps be taken against the petitioner.
