JASJIT SINGH BEDI, J. (Oral) The prayer in the present petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for quashing of the order dated 25.11.2022 (Annexure P-8) whereby bail bonds/surety bonds furnished by the petitioner stand cancelled and forfeited to the State and he has been summoned through non-bailable warrants of arrest.

On 23.12.2023, the following order was passed :- "Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner could not appear before the trial Court on many dates and the talks of compromise are going on. He further states that the petitioner has made the part payment of the cheque amount in the appeal and the zimni orders are annexed with the petition. CRM-M-59435-2022 - 2 - could not appear before the trial Court, the bail of the petitioner was cancelled and he was ordered to be summoned through non-bailable warrants of arrest after forfeiting the bail/surety bonds.

Notice of motion for 30.01.2023.

In the meantime, the petitioner is directed to surrender before the learned Appellate Court on or before 06.01.2023 and move an application in this regard. If such an application is filed, then, he shall be granted bail subject to his furnishing fresh bail/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Duty Magistrate."

Thereafter, the matter was adjourned from time and again. Be that as it may, in deference to the order dated 23.12.2023, the petitioner has surrendered and has since been admitted to bail. In view of the fact that the petitioner had joined the proceedings, no further orders are required to be passed by this Court. It is expected that the petitioner shall not absent himself from the proceedings without any sufficient cause. Disposed of.
