(ORAL) The present petition has been filed by petitioner-Imrana under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus for appointing the Warrant Officer to locate the detenues, as detailed in para No.4 of the petition, from the alleged illegal custody of respondents No.6 and 7.

Pursuant to notice of motion in this case on 13.12.2022, learned State counsel appeared and filed status report by way of an affidavit of Capt. Shakti Singh, District Magistrate, Jhajjar, on behalf of respondent No.2, whereby in para Nos.3 to 6, the following stand has been taken :- "3.
That the statements of the workers found working at the site were recorded and the statement of the Manager of the Brick Kiln Shri Ravindra was also taken on record. 4.
That from the statements taken on record, it is elicited that the workers mentioned in the writ petition had come at the brick kiln in the search of work related to the laying of bricks in the baking chambers of the brick kiln. But GURPREET KAUR 2023.04.24 15:20 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment
due to non-availability of such work at the brick kiln, they left the place on 14.12.2022.
5. That no unsettled accounts or arrears were found in the books of the manager.
6. That there is no reason to believe that any person is held or kept as bonded labourer at the site. Moreover, the workers seem to face no restrictions regarding their movements around or out of the site."

On 13.04.2023, since no one had put in appearance on behalf of the petitioner, the case was adjourned for 19.04.2023 i.e. today and the Registry was directed to notify the petitioner as well as her counsel, the date fixed in this case.

A perusal of Office report reveals that intimation regarding the date of hearing i.e. 19.04.2023, was given to the petitioner as well as her counsel via e-mail. Today again, no one has appeared on behalf of the petitioner despite being notified of the date fixed. 5.
It appears that the petitioner is not interested in pursuing the present petition.
