(ORAL) Apprehending danger to his life and liberty from respondents No.4 to 7, petitioner, an 80 year's old man, has filed the present petition with a prayer to direct the official respondents to protect his life and liberty from the hands of respondent No. 4 to 7.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that grandson of the petitioner, namely, Rajbir Singh had married to one Komalpreet Kaur (respondent No.4). Her (respondent No.4) father and brother, started demanding a car from the petitioner levelling baseless allegations against petitioner's grandson (Rajbir Singh).

Learned counsel further submits that a detailed representation dated 30.08.2025 (Annexure P1) has been moved by Rajbir Singh to Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar (Rural), which has not been decided till date.

In so far as the present petition is concerned, learned counsel for the petitioner has limited his prayer to direct the official respondents to decide representation dated 30.08.2025 (Annexure P1) moved by the Rajbir VIVEK PAHWA 2025.09.08 16:33 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh Singh, grandson of the petitioner.

Without commenting upon the merits of the case and in view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the official respondents to decide the complaint/representation dated 30.08.2025 (Annexure P1) within a period of two weeks. In case, it is found that there is a genuine threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner, then necessary steps warranted under law be taken at the earliest, so as to ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioner. 5.

Disposed of accordingly.
