1. The petitioners by way of this writ petition claim consideration for appointment on the post of PTI teachers. The recruitment of PTI teacher was for 849 posts, and while cut off was laid down for general category for 423 posts, for SC posts which was SC ex-servicemen as well as SC sports person, all eligible candidates were called to participate and submit their forms for scrutiny of original documents.
2. However, it is not the case of the petitioners that they were falling in merit or that they had submitted their documents for scrutiny. The petitioners are setting up a case that for total number of posts available in the cadre of PTIs, the reserved posts must be 25%, and thus in the cadre of 1300 PTI teachers posts, 325 SC candidates were to be taken, but only 254 SC candidates have been recruited.
3. In the opinion of this Court, merely because less number of SC candidates have been recruited, it does not create a right in favour of the petitioners who have not been found to participate in selection. MOHIT GOYAL 2023.12.21 09:47 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

4. Writ petition is wholly misconceived and shorn of facts, and is accordingly dismissed.
