The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to the respondents to consider him for the promotional post of Superintendent of Police (SP).

The petitioner joined Punjab Police as Constable on 01.11.1991 against Sports Quota. She was granted out of turn promotions to different ranks. At present, she is posted as DSP. She is claiming that her juniors have been promoted to the post of SP. The respondent in reply to her application vide letter dated 17.02.2022 intimated that her case has been sent to Government for consideration. In the said letter, it was also pointed out that her name has been included in Anju Goel 2024.10.24 09:47 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

Mr. Aman Dhir, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State and waives service. He submits that the competent authority would look into grievance of the petitioner and do the needful within three months from today.
