(Oral) Petitioners have prayed for a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct the respondents to increase the number of posts of Clerks and to change the requisition accordingly. It has been urged before the court that the number of posts of Clerks are lying vacant in the different parts of the State. It started the process for selection way back in April 2016 and had issued an advertisement. However, no recruitment has taken place since then. Many posts have fallen vacant since then. Same need to be included in the recruitment process.

I find no merit in the plea raised by the petitioners. It is purely within the domain of the State to see as to its requirement of various employees to be inducted in the departments. In normal course, no direction for changing the requisition for recruitment of employees in various departments can be given. The prayer made in the petition is wholly misconceived. Same is hereby rejected and the petition is dismissed.
