The present revision petition has been filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of directions to the First Appellate Court concerned to decide the appeal being CA-6470 of 2022 titled as 'B.R. Chopra V/s Surender and Another' in a time bound manner. 2.

As per the Dashboard of District Courts, Gurugram available on the website of National Judicial Data Grid, 2319 civil appeals including 10 years old appeals are pending before the Court concerned. 3.

The Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of High Court Bar Association, Allahabad Vs. State of U.P. & Ors. [2024 (2) RCR (Civil) 199] has held in para No.37(c) as under :

"37(c) Constitutional Courts, in the ordinary course, should refrain from fixing a time-bound schedule for the disposal of cases pending before any other Courts. Constitutional Courts may issue directions for the timeAMAN JAIN 2025.03.06 10:24 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment

CR-6293-2024 (O&M) -2bound disposal of cases only in exceptional circumstances. The issue of prioritizing the disposal of cases should be best left to the decision of the concerned Courts where the cases are pending"

No exceptional circumstances are made out for issuance of directions to the Court concerned for deciding the above appeal in a time bound manner.
