*** SANDEEP MOUDGIL , J.(ORAL) This is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus thereby directing respondent Nos.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of petitioner and his family members as said respondent Nos.4 and 5 had fraudulently taken an amount of Rs.3,30,000/- from the petitioner and thereafter on complaint made by the petitioner seeking return of the said amount, thereafter aforesaid private respondents have been threatening the petitioner and his family regarding physical elimination/killing.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he will be satisfied in case a direction be issued to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Police District Batala to look into the representation(s) dated 03.10.2024 and 11.10.2024, Annexures P-3 & 4, respectively, within a time bound manner.

CRWP-10371-2024 Without adverting to the merits of the case and in view of the statement made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Police District Batala to look into the representation(s) dated 03.10.2024 and 11.10.2024, Annexures P-3 & 4, respectively and decide the same in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order. The order so passed be conveyed to the petitioner within one week thereafter. In the afore-said direction, the present petition stands disposed of.
