Prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for the appointment of Veterinary Inspector in Ex-Serviceman Category.

Admittedly the petitioner had mentioned in column No.10 'no' and also never opted for Ex-servicemen category at the time of applying as is the categoric stand taken in para 4 of the reply dated 24.01.2024 filed on behalf of respondent Nos.1 and 2. None of the documents in reference to being Lineal Descendant were produced during scrutiny on 30.03.2016. The recruitment process is also stated to have been concluded way back on 10.08.2016, when appointment letters stood issued to the successful candidates. To these facts neither any rebuttal by filing replication was made nor learned counsel during the course of arguments was able to refute the above or substantiate the claim. 3.

In view of the above, there being no merit in the petition, the same is dismissed.
