Chandigarh. **** NIDHI GUPTA, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the present Criminal Writ Petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India in the scope of Mandamus is for issuance of appropriate directions to official respondents No.1 to 3 to provide protection to the petitioner, who is a 5 months pregnant lady, from the hands of private respondents i.e. respondents No. 4 to 6. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the accused/respondents No. 4 to 6 herein, who are relatives of the petitioner, have been harassing her. It is submitted that there is some dispute between respondents No.

4 to 6 and husband of the petitioner due to which they are trying to kill unborn child/fetus of the petitioner. Learned counsel for the respondent-U.T., Chandigarh on instructions, informs this Court that in fact, it is the petitioner who is trying to evade process of law. It is submitted that Investigating Officer has called the petitioner thrice and petitioner has informed the DIVYANSHI 2024.11.

CRWP-10362-2024 (O&M) - 2Investigating Officer that she does not want to accept the summons and that she does not want to pursue the case. It is further submitted that DDR has been issued at the address shown by the petitioner in the memo of parties of the petition. However, the petitioner was not found at the said address. It is further informed that representation dated 24.08.2024 (Annexure P-2) filed by the petitioner has been sent to the learned Sub Divisional Magistrate concerned under Sections 126 and 69 BNSS for taking appropriate action, if any.

In view of the above, no further directions are required to be issued in the matter.

The present petition stands disposed of.
