Through the instant petition, as filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioners, who are in a 'live-in relationship', have sought issuance of directions upon the respondents No.2 and 3, to ensure protection of their lives and liberty at the hands of respondents No.4 and 5.

At the very outset, the learned State counsel has, on advance notice, placed before this Court the copies of vernacular statements, as suffered respectively by the petitioners, before A.S.I. Pawan Kumar. The said statements are taken on record. A perusal of the statements (supra), as suffered by the petitioners, reveals that the petitioners have stated in unambiguous terms that they are living in a safe environment at Village Buria, District Yamuna Nagar and they do not have any threat perception at the hands of anybody.

On the face of the statements (supra), neither there is any threat perception to the petitioners, nor the petitioners require any security DEVINDER YADAV 2023.11.09 17:57 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment
