HARPREET SINGH BRAR J. (Oral) Prayer in this writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari, for quashing the impugned action of respondents/department whereby the official respondents No.1 to 4 have not instituted the disciplinary proceedings or any other appropriate legal action against respondent No. 5 in pursuance of the recommendation made by the Director/Adm., Patiala, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited on hearing the appeal preferred by the petitioner against the action of respondent No. 5 who had made the adverse remarks in the Annual Confidential Report of the petitioner, without any documentary evidence and against the principle of natural justice. Further a writ of mandamus has been sought, directing the official respondents No.

1 to 4 to initiate disciplinary proceedings or any other appropriate legal action against respondent No. 5 in pursuance of the recommendation MOHD YAKUB 2025.09.

CWP-26832-2025 (O&M) -2made by Director/Adm. Patiala Punjab State Power Corporation Limited on hearing the appeal preferred by the petitioner against the action of respondent No. 5. Further prayer has been made to direct the official respondents to decide and act upon the representation (Annexure P-2) dated 24.07.2025 submitted by the petitioner to the respondents/Corporation, within a time bound manner and consequently to initiate disciplinary proceedings or any other appropriate legal action against respondent No. 5 in pursuance of the recommendations made by the Director/Admn. Punjab State Power Corporation Limited on hearing the appeal preferred by the petitioner against the action of respondent No.5.

Learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the present petition.
