This matter is being taken up for hearing through video conferencing due to outbreak of the pandemic, COVID-19. This writ petition has been filed for setting aside communication dated 05.11.2019 (Annexure P4) whereby petitioner's claim for handing over actual physical possession of House No.10/294, Sector 7, Chandigarh allotted to him under the out-of-turn quota, has been rejected being erroneous. Learned counsel for respondent-Union Territory, Chandigarh, at the outset, points out that this writ petition has been rendered infructuous as during pendency of the writ petition, petitioner has been allotted another government OMKAR SINGH 2021.11.30 14:05 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court, Chandigarh

CWP No.34813 of 2019 [2] house in Chandigarh, vide allotment letter dated 10/11.12.2019 and petitioner has taken possession thereof.

Factum of subsequent allotment of the government residence and taking physical possession thereof by the petitioner, has not been denied by learned counsel for the petitioner.

Thus, keeping in view the facts and circumstances as above, but without commenting on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of as infructuous.
