The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to the respondents to correct the name of family members in Form 3 (details of family) submitted by respondent No.5.

The petitioner is estranged wife of respondent No.5Charanjit Singh. The respondent No.5 has retired from Punjab Police. As per applicable rules and regulations, he has submitted Form 3 with respect to detail of his family members. In the said Form, he has not disclosed name of petitioner as wife. She claims that the Family Court has ordered to respondent No.5 to pay maintenance of Rs.20,000/- per month to petitioner which shows that she is legally wedded wife of respondent No.5.

Mr. Rahul Sharma submits that the petitioner has served legal notice upon respondents seeking correction of Form 3 but to no avail.

With the consent of both the parties, the matter is taken up today itself for final disposal.

Learned State counsel submits that the competent authority would look into legal notice of the petitioner and dispose of the same within 3 months from today.

Learned counsel for the petitioner agrees to aforesaid arrangement.
