This is a second petition filed for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023 in case FIR No.27 (Annexure P-1) dated 02.04.2024 under Sections 21 and 29 of Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act, 1985 and Section 25 of Arms Act, 1959 registered at Police Station Mamdot, District Ferozepur, Punjab. 2.

A Coordinate Bench of this Court, vide order dated 24.10.2024, had directed the petitioner to appear before the SHO/Investigating Officer and join investigation and in the event of his arrest, he was ordered to be released on ad-interim bail to the satisfaction of the SHO/Investigating Agency, subject to the conditions envisaged under Section 482(2) of the BNSS (erstwhile Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.).

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in compliance of the order dated 24.10.2024 passed by this Court, the petitioner has joined and cooperated with the investigation.

CRM-M-53154-2024 -24. Learned State counsel by way of filing of reply dated 19.08.2025 submits that the petitioner has joined the investigation and is not required for custodial interrogation.

In view of the submissions of learned counsel for the petitioner especially with the petitioner having joined investigation, the order dated 24.10.2024 granting interim bail to the petitioner is made absolute. 6.

However, the petitioner shall abide by the conditions stipulated under Section 482(2) BNSS. He shall also join investigation as and when called upon to do so.

The petition stands allowed.
