PANKAJ JAIN, J. (ORAL) Status report by way of affidavit of Balkar Singh, PPS, DSP, Sub Division (City) Ferozepur has been filed on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3 today in Court, which is taken on record. Copy supplied. 2.
As per the same it has been reported as under : "2. That taking into count sensitivity of the case, enquiry into the matter in hand has been got conducted through SI Manjeet Singh, Police Station, City Ferozepur, who called both the parties in the enquiry and has also recorded respective statements of Charashni (petitioner No.1), Norang Lal (petitioner No.2) and Smt. Simran mother of petitioner No.2. In her statement, petitioner No.1 Chrashni has stated that on 06.11.2023, she performed her marriage with Norang Lal (petitioner No.2) against the wishes of her parents. But now, the parental family of Charashni (petitioner No. 1) has no objection regarding her marriage with Norang Lal (petitioner No.2) and as such, neither she has any danger to her life and property at the hands of her parental family or relatives, nor her parental family or relatives Deepak Kumar 2023.12.20 09:19 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Petitioner No.1 Charashni further stated that she is living happily in her inlaw's house and now, she does not want to take any action against anyone in the present petition. The true translated copy of statement of petitioner No.1 is annexed herewith as Annexure R-1/T. The petitioner No.2 Norang Lal has also recorded his separate statement on the same facts as stated by petitioner No.1 and has specifically stated that now, his inlaw's family has no objection regarding his marriage with petitioner No.1 and as such, neither the petitioners have any danger to their life and property at the hands of parental family or relatives of petitioner No.1, nor his inlaw's family or relatives have given any threat to do so, nor the petitioners are in need of any police protection. The true translated copy of the statement of petitioner No.2 is annexed herewith as Annexure R-2/T." 3.
Counsel for the petitioners is not in position to controvert the aforesaid statement made by petitioners No.1 and 2. 4.
