The short grouse of the petitioner is that his land was utilized by the respondents, however, no compensation has been released to him. 2.

During the pendency of the present revision petition, the respondents issued notifications under Sections 3-A and 3-D of the National Highway Act, 1956 and today a letter dated 27.05.2026 has also been issued by the Project Director, National Highways Authority of India, PIU, Rewari to the District Revenue Officer-cum- CALA, Gurugram for passing of the award and release of compensation to the petitioner. 3.

In pursuance thereof, Mr. Vijay Kumar, DRO-cum-CALA, Gurugram, has joined the proceedings through video conferencing and SONIKA 2026.05.29 15:38 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CR-6336-2025 (O&M) --2-- assures that an award under Section 3-G of the 1956 Act pertaining to the land owned by the petitioner, which was utilized by the respondents shall be passed within 07 days from today and payment of compensation in terms thereof shall be made to the petitioner within next 07 days. 4.

In view of the aforesaid stand taken by respondent-CALA, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the present petition. 5.

Accordingly, the present petition stands disposed of being not pressed. However, it is made clear that respondent-CALA shall remain bound by the above mentioned time schedule as undertaken by him. In case, the needful is not done within the aforestated period, the officer concerned i.e. CALA-DRO, Gurugram shall be liable to pay costs of Rs.2 lakhs per month to the petitioner-landowner and the cost shall be borne by the officer concerned from his own pocket and the same shall not be burdened upon the State Exchequer. The petitioner shall also be at liberty to seek revival of the present petition, in case, needful is not done. 6.
