AARADHNA SAWHNEY , J (ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition filed under Section 483 of BNSS is for grant of regular bail in case FIR No.27 dated 22.02.2024 under Section 22 of NDPS Act registered at P.S Mahilpur, District Hoshiarpur. Medical status report filed by way of affidavit of Dalbir Singh, Superintendent, Women Jail, Ludhiana on behalf of respondent-State in Court today is taken on record.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the trial is nearing its culmination, and, therefore, he restricts his prayer to the extent that the trial Court may be directed to expedite the trial within time frame. Learned State counsel has raised no objection to the aforesaid prayer. Heard. Documents have been perused.

Without commenting upon the merits of the case and in view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the trial Court to make sincere efforts to expedite the trial and conclude the same as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two months from the receipt of certified copy of this order, in accordance with law.
