This petition is filed by Harman Kaur, minor daughter of petitioner No.3-Paramjit Kaur and respondent No.4-Kashmir Singh, along with one Sham Singh praying for protection to her life and liberty at the instance of respondents No.4 to 9 and their other relatives.

It is stated in the petition that petitioners No.1 and 3 are the daughter and the mother and respondent No.4-Kashmir Singh-father of petitioner No.1 is giving her beatings as she want to soleminze marriage with petitioner No.2 as and when she attains the age of majority.

In response to the notice of motion, petitioner No.1Harman Kaur, petitioner No.3-Paramjit Kaur and respondent No.4-Kashmir Singh are present in the Court. Considering the fact that it a dispute between the parents and the daughter, the case was referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court for their counseling and recording their statements. Petitioner No.1-Harman Kaur has made a statement that she is about 17 years of age and she did not want to go to Nari Niketan and decided to go with her parents from the Court SATISH KUMAR 2019.12.16 16:08 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP-1348-2019 -2itself, subject to the condition that her father Kashmir Singh gives a statement/undertaking that he will not give her beatings or torture her in any manner.

Respondent No.4-father of petitioner No.1, in his statement has stated that he wants to take his daughter along with him in his house and undertake that he will not give her beatings, torture or pressurize her in any manner. Petitioner No.3-Paramjit Kaur, mother of petitioner No.1-Harman Kaur, wife of respondent No.4-Kashmir Singh has orally stated that she along with her husband want to take their daughter with them to their home and will take care of her and assure that they will not give her any maltreatment. In view of the same, this petition stands disposed of. Petitioner No.3 is allowed to take petitioner No.1-Harman Kaur with her, being minor to stay with her father-Kashmir Singh. However, it is made clear that in case petitioner No.1 faces any difficulty, she has a right to revive this petition.
