1. The petitioner by way of this writ petition challenges the order dated 17.11.2015 whereby his application for seeking compassionate appointment on account of death of his brother has been dismissed.

2. This writ petition has been preferred in the year 2023, and no reasons have come forward for not taking up the matter for the last eight years. The claim for compassionate appointment is on account of immediate relief which is required to be given to the family on account of death of a deceased Government servant. The petitioner himself had not shown any interest in compassionate appointment for the last eight years.

3. Writ Petition thus suffers from laches and gross delay, and the same is accordingly dismissed.
