HARSH BUNGER, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the present petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is for issuance of direction to the learned trial Court to conduct the trial on day to day basis, in case FIR No.52 dated 16.04.2015, registered under Sections 436, 323, 506, 149 (Section 506 IPC added later on), Section 148 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 and 4 of the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act and Section 543 of Jail Manual Act (vide DDR No.25 dated 11.05.2015) at Police Station Civil Lines, District Bathinda (Sections 307, 336, 353, 186 and Section 25 of the Arms Act, 1959, deleted later on).

At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present petition has been rendered infructuous as the petitioner herein namely, Gurpreet Singh @ Sekhon, has confessed his guilt voluntarily without any pressure or coercion before the Court of Judge, Special Court, Bathinda and he stands convicted and sentenced accordingly.
