MANJARI NEHRU KAUL , J. (ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3, to protect the life, liberty and property of the petitioner. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner is the owner of a plot situated in Suba Akbarpur H.B. No.49, Tehsil and District Ambala, Palika Vihar, Ambala City. However, as and when he has been trying to raise construction on his plot, one Ajay Kumar in collusion with the official respondents have been extending threats to him and creating obstacles in the constructions as they have been eyeing his property. Learned counsel submits that even though representations dated 16.10.2024 (Annexures P-6 and P-7) have been made to respondent No.2-Superintendent of Police, Ambala and respondent No.4-Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Ambala respectively, however, they have been in vain and the threat perception still exists.

After arguing for some time, learned counsel submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if directions are issued to respondent No.2-Superintendent of Police, Ambala, and respondent No.4-Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Ambala, to look into his representations (Annexures P-6 and P-7) and take appropriate steps at the earliest.

On asking of the Court, Ms. Trishanjali Sharma, Deputy Advocate General, Haryana, accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with a directions to respondent No.2-Superintendent of Police, Ambala, and respondent No.4-Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Ambala, to look into the representation dated 16.10.2024 (Annexures P-6 and P-7 respectively) qua the alleged threat perception and take appropriate steps, if any required, in accordance with law, to ensure that the life and liberty of the petitioner is not jeopardized.
