Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India r/w Section 528 BNSS, 2023 is for issuance of directions to respondents No.2 to 4 to grant parole for a period of four weeks to the petitioner in case FIR No.136 dated 16.08.2021 under Section 22 of NDPS Act registered at Police Station STF SAS Nagar. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite all the authorities concerned recommending the parole of the petitioner, respondent No.4 - Sr. Superintendent of Police, Patiala has not yet decided the case of the petitioner for parole. Learned counsel has further submitted that a representation dated 27.09.2024 (Annexure P-3) was also given to respondent No.4, however, it had been in vain. 3.
