This is a petition under Sections 10 and 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 for initiation of proceedings against the respondents for violation of the order dated 16.10.2023 passed in CWP-4939-2023, operative part of which reads as under :

" On the asking of the Court, Mr. Pankaj Middha, learned Additional Advocate General, Haryana, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and submits that in case no order on the appeal dated 08.05.2002 (Annexure P-12) has been passed so far and the same is still pending, the same will be decided by the competent authority within a period of eight weeks of the receipt of certified copy of this order by passing an appropriate speaking order and in case, the said appeal JITENDER KUMAR 2025.09.30 10:16 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

COCP-4651-2025 -2has already been decided, the due fact of the same will also be conveyed to the petitioner with all the relevant facts as to when the order deciding the said appeal was passed by the respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that keeping in view the statement of learned State counsel, the present petition may kindly be disposed of having been not pressed any further.

Ordered accordingly."

On 11.09.2025 notice was issued to the respondents to show cause as to why proceedings under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 be not initiated against them for non-compliance of order dated 16.10.2023 passed in CWP-4939-2023. Pursuant to the said order, on 16.09.2025, the petitioner appeared and stated that no appeal has been preferred by him. Even today learned counsel for the petitioner is unable to show any proof of having filed revision before the Financial Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Department of Transport, Haryana Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh in the year 1998. 3.

In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed in the present contempt petition and the same is disposed off. Rule stands discharged.
