*** DEEPAK GUPTA, J. (ORAL) [1] There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. [2] By way of this petition, prayer was made to quash FIR No.0185 dated 09.11.2017 under Section 420 IPC registered at Police Station City Malout, District Shri Mukatsar Sahib, Punjab, on the basis of compromise dated 28.10.2019 (Annexures P-2 & P-3). [3] Vide order dated 03.12.2019, parties were asked to appear before the trial Court concerned for getting their statements recorded.

[4] However, no report was received as to whether parties appeared before the trial Court or not. It was informed on 01.08.2023 that counsel for the petitioner has joined the Advocate General Office. In these circumstances, notice to the petitioner was sent. As reported by the Registry, petitioner has been duly served but still there is no representation on behalf of him. Even on the last date of hearing, nobody had put in appearance on behalf of the petitioner. All these circumstances indicate that the petitioner is no longer interested in pursuing this petition.
