The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to re-issue passport with correct date of birth.

The petitioner was issued passport wherein date of birth of the petitioner was recorded as 15.04.1960. The petitioner vide application dated 25.04.2023 sought correction of date of birth i.e. 08.03.1963. The application of the petitioner is still pending before passport authority. 3.

Learned counsel for Union of India, who on advance notice is present in Court, asserts that passport authority would look into grievance of the petitioner and pass an appropriate order, in accordance with law, within six weeks from today.
