Mr. Akash Manocha, Advocate for the petitioners. ***** SANJIV BERRY. J. (Oral) This is a petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for directions to respondent Nos.1 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of private respondent Nos.5 to 10. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that both petitioners are apprehending threats to their lives at the hands of respondents Nos.5 to 10, who are the family members of the petitioners. The petitioners have moved a representation dated 03.11.2023 (Annexure P-3) to respondent No.2Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, but no action thereon has been taken till date. 3.

Notice of motion to respondent Nos.1 to 4 only. 4.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Subhash Godara, Addl. AG, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the State-respondent Nos.1 to 4.

Without commenting on the merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with the direction to respondent No.2-Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, to consider the representation dated 03.11.2023 (Annexure P-3) keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case and if so warranted, take action, to SANDAL SHARMA 2023.11.17 13:21 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment
