Through the instant criminal writ petition, the petitioner has sought issuance of directions upon the official respondents, to ensure protection of his life and liberty, at the hands of the private respondents No.6 to 8.

This Court, through drawing an order on 28.10.2024, directed the respondent-State to file a short reply, disclosing therein, as to whether there genuinely exists any threat to the petitioner. Accordingly, today the learned State counsel has filed a short reply, on affidavit of Ramandeep Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Dharamkot, District Moga, which is taken on record. Copy of the short reply is also supplied to the learned counsel for the petitioner. 3.
What emanates from a perusal of the short reply, is that, the petitioner got registered FIR No.47 dated 06.04.2024, under Sections DEVINDER YADAV 2024.11.19 16:00 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment
CRWP-10422-2024 326/324/34 of the IPC, at P.S. Kot Ise Khan, against Lovepreet Singh son of Jagtar Singh and Mehar Singh son of Jagtar Singh, both residents of Datta Road, Kot Ise Khan, District Moga and against two unknown accused. Both the accused have already joined the investigation in the said case and investigation is still under progress. 4.
The short reply also carries disclosure that, although there is no threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner, however, necessary directions have been issued to the patrolling parties to increase the patrolling around the residential house of the petitioner. Moreover, contact numbers of S.H.O., Police Station Kot Ise Khan, and, of the author of the short reply have also been provided to the petitioner, with assurance that he can approach them at any time in case he feels any threat.

In view of what has been stated in the short reply, no further direction is required to be passed. Therefore, the instant petition is closed. 6.
Disposed of accordingly.
