(Oral) Prayer in this petition is for issuing direction to the official respondents for taking appropriate legal action on the representation dated 20.4.2022 (Annexure P-2 pending before respondents No.2 and 3, in a time bound manner. Learned counsel for the respondent-UT Chandigarh submits that in pursuance to the complaint (Annexure P-1) filed by the petitioner under Sections 498-A, 503, 506, 509 IPC and Sections 3, 18, 19, 20, 22 of the Domestic Violence Act, the matter was thoroughly investigated and the same was closed/filed because the allegations levelled by the complainant against her husband and inlaws could not be substantiated, therefore, the complaint was recommended to be filed on 20.7.2022 by the Enquiry Officer, which was duly approved by Station House Officer, Women Police Station, Sector 17, Chandigarh on 21.07.2022.

2023:PHHC:118914 CRM-M-60438-2022 Order sheets shows that there is no representation on behalf of petitioner from the last two dates i.e. 01.5.2023 and 03.8.2023.

In view of the submission of learned counsel for the UT Chandigarh, as also averred in the status report dated 24.1.2023, no further direction is required to be issued in the matter. However, in case anything survives, it is open for the petitioner to file appropriate proceedings as per law. Disposed of.
