Learned State counsel prays for an adjournment as he has incomplete instructions in the said case.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has made a limited prayer in the present petition which is with respect to Annexure P-3 i.e. police clearance verification certificate of the petitioner. It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that it is a matter of record that though the petitioner was convicted in FIR No. 137, dated 19.05.2001 registered at Police Station City Thanesar, District Kurukshetra, however, he had been thereafter given the benefit of probation.

Learned counsel while drawing the attention of this Court to Annexure P-3 has submitted that the factum of the petitioner having been extended the benefit of probation has not been mentioned in Annexure P-3 POONAM RATHORE 2024.08.07 17:59 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court Chandigarh

CRM-M-57906-2023 -2and instead it has been submitted that he has been punished with one year of imprisonment along with fine of Rs.1,000/-. 4.

Learned counsel further submits that his limited prayer is for issuing directions to the official respondents to make a mention in the police clearance verification certificate that though the petitioner was indeed convicted in FIR No.137, dated 19.05.2001 registered at Police Station City Thanesar, District Kurukshetra, however, he had not been released on probation.

In the circumstances and in view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the instant petition is disposed of with directions to respondent No.2-Superintendent of Police, Kurukshetra, to look into his representation (Annexure P-4) and issue police clearance verification certificate by incorporating the factum of the petitioner having been released on probation at the earliest.
