The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking setting aside of communication (Annexure P-8) and direction to respondent to reimburse medical bill of Rs. 1,69,248/-.

The petitioner joined Haryana Police as Constable on 22.09.2021. His father suffered chest pain and was admitted in hospital on 16.11.2024. He was subjected to medical procedure and discharged on 17.11.2024. Petitioner had to incur Rs.1,69,248/- towards medical expenses. He submitted application on 25.02.2025. Respondent sent back his file to re-examine dependent certificate in reference with instructions dated 14.12.2007.

CWP No.27277 of 2025 -23.

The petitioner claims that his father has only two and half acres land and he is dependent upon him, thus, petitioner is entitled to reimbursement of medical expenses. His claim is squarely covered by order dated 19.05.2017 passed by this Court in two connected cases including CWP No. 4892 of 2016, Manoj Kumar vs. State of Haryana and others. 4.

Learned State counsel submits that claim of the petitioner has not been rejected. The matter is under consideration. An appropriate order would be passed within one month from today.

In the wake of statement of learned State counsel, the instant petition stands disposed of.
