The petitioners through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking direction to respondent to compensate their loss of crop caused by hailstorm. 2.

On 29.01.2026, the following order was passed by this Court:- "Counsel for the petitioners states that although, there is no policy for grant of compensation on account of loss caused to crop during hailstorm in the year 2024-25, but in similar circumstances, compensation has been given to some of the villagers and even to the co-sharer of the petitioners.

Advance copy of the petition has been served upon the respondents.

Learned State counsel at the outset submits that there is EKshatipurti portal of the State Government. As per said portal, farmers are entitled to compensation if loss had incurred during December' 2024 to March' 2025.

In the wake of statement of learned State counsel, the petition stands disposed of with the direction to respondent to consider petitioners' claim if they had incurred loss of crop during December' 2024 to March' 2025.

Let the needful be done within three months from the date of filing claim by respondent.
