Dated Police Station Sections 25.02.2020 City Barnala, District Barnala, Punjab 22 of NDPS Act, later on added 25, 29 of NDPS Act & 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC The petitioner upon his incarceration in the FIR captioned above, has come up before this Court seeking interim bail for a period of 03 months for treatment of his mother.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that his mother is suffering from Stage-IV Cancer and in support thereof, has annexed medical report of the Max Healthcare Hospital as per which the median survival is after 3 months. The petitioner through his counsel also undertakes not to flee or misuse the concession so granted, in any manner whatsoever.

Notice served upon the official respondent through State counsel. State opposes the petition on the ground that the petitioner has to do nothing in the treatment of his mother. There are other members of family who can take care of her. 4.

After facing strict opposition from the State, petitioner's counsel submits that he be allowed to meet his mother in custody itself. 5.

Given above, present petition is disposed of with directions that the petitioner be taken into custody to meet his mother by 30.10.2024 and be permitted to spend 04 hours Sonia Puri 2024.10.29 18:16 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
