The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to issue her passport.

The petitioner is a minor child and she is staying with her mother. The marriage of mother of the petitioner stands dissolved and father of the petitioner has already solemnized second marriage. The mother of the petitioner has already filed Annexure 'C' with the application still respondents have not issued passport.

Learned counsel appearing for Union of India submits that petitioner may be directed to appear before passport authority. The passport authority would decide application of the petitioner within six weeks thereafter.
